Absolutely hands down the best French cuisine I've had! If you're looking for a top tier place that won't empty your wallet this little gem will wow anyone you bring! The staff was phenomenal, knowledgeable and fun. They really brought the whole experience together. The restaurant is beautiful, but doesn't make you feel intimidated by how fancy it is, I really appreciated that aspect. Top notch wine selection too, 11/10 would go again.

Absolutely amazing lunch, food was delicious and Richard made us cry with laughter all throughout. Free champagne on the house was a fantastic ending to a lovely afternoon.

We had our Christmas event in the private dining room downstairs and had the most wonderful experience. Cecile was an absolute delight to work with on all the planning - we can’t thank you enough Cecile! Nothing was a problem, she was so quick to reply to queries, and so warm. Richard - such a gentleman and cannot thank you enough for your warmth and hospitality! Charlie our waiter on the night was also excellent. Huge thanks to all!

I wanted to come here for a long time but never managed. Today I decided to go in my own and hoped to bag a table in the amazing little courtyard they have at the back. I booked, and, when I arrived, the courtyard was fully booked, but they promised to move me there once a table had finished. I ordered the scallops, and the cheese souffle to start with. Before they arrived, they brought me fresh bread with a very good butter, together with my Perrier mineral water. To go with the starters I was given the great advise to pair them with a Riesling, a very good choice, as it was a perfect match with both. I then had the halibut, which was paired with a white burgundy, another perfect match. This main was also great, perfectly cooked and very well balanced . Lastly, I had the Crepes Suzette, a dessert I love, but it isn’t easily found in London ( or even in Paris ). The end was a Grand Marnier on the rocks. The prefect ending to a a perfect meal . The service was very good throughout the whole meal, plus they did manage to move me to a table outside as soon as it became free. Little great touches like this are so rare those days, therefore I am delighted to have finally discovered this gem of a place ! I highly recommend it.

Last week we had a rather belated "Sam Lane Photography Christmas Party" and thankfully chose a warm, dry night to sit outside in the secluded courtyard terrace. We enjoyed some fabulous dishes (starters: scallops, souffle, foie gras; mains: rib of beef and steak); paired with some amazing wines. And we finished with some delicious desserts - pear tart to share, creme brule... A very, very nice evening indeed!

My good friend took me here for dinner. I’m of the opinion that is the best French restaurant in London. The food was sublime (I had scallops followed by rabbit) and it was delicious. The service is equally excellent.

For those not in the know one would simply pass by Saint Jacques, unfortunately mistaking it for another overpriced central London sub-par restaurant... Fortunately we took the plunge and we’re more than happy with the what was provided. The veal chop and apricot tarte tatin were enough to keep us going back for more. Richard (proprietor) was simply charming!
